Hemmenhofen Sailing School
Hemmenhofen Sailing School
Last year in May, I got my sports boat license at the Hemmenhofen sailing school so that I would be able to sail a Zodiac in the Antarctic. That was the starting signal for a great friendship with the sailing school team and many unforgettable moments.
The summer in Hemmenhofen was simply fantastic. I learned a lot and laughed even more. The sailing school is not only a great place to learn, but also a great community. It didn’t take long before I was fully immersed in sailing and really enjoyed my time on Lake Constance.
The absolute highlight was the sailing trip around Elba in September. Sailing around this beautiful island on a sailing boat with the sailing school team was simply magical. The breathtaking sunsets, the instructive sailing lessons and the shared laughter made this trip unforgettable. It was the perfect preparation before I went on expeditions for six months.
After my return from Antarctica, I was back in Hemmenhofen and helped out as a motorboat instructor on Lake Constance for a month in June. It was a great experience to pass on my knowledge and enthusiasm for boating to new students. We also did a few cool shoots on the water and created a new website for the sailing school.
The new website has turned out great and offers a comprehensive insight into the sailing school and its offers. From courses to cruises and special events, you will find all the information you need there. Be sure to check them out!
Hemmenhofen Sailing School is more than just a place to learn – it is a community of people who share a love of sailing & motorboating. I am grateful for the experiences, friendships and the many unforgettable moments I was able to experience there. And who knows, maybe we’ll see each other on the water again soon.
