I didn't expect what I found on my first expedition south. I expected ice. I expected wildlife. I didn't expect to feel so completely changed by a place.

I’ve made  30+ expeditions to Antarctica, working as expedition photographer for farious companys and running charters. The images here come from across those voyages, the Weddell Sea, the Antarctic Peninsula, South Georgia, the Falklands.

Antarctica is not a backdrop. It’s a living system under enormous pressure. These images are my attempt to make that real for people who will never stand on the ice.
